
The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) is calling for interested applicants to apply Bioinformatics Masters degree fellowships, offered under the Eastern Africa Network for Bioinformatics Training (EANBiT) initiative
ICIPE will make available 12 MSc fellowships at Pwani University, Kenya, and Makerere University, Uganda, for the 2019-2020 academic year for a maximum of two years of the study period, that includes both course work and the thesis work.
The scholarship will incorporate basic medical and accident insurance, a monthly stipend to cover accommodation and living expenses, for two years, subject to progress reviews, and reasonable support for the MSc research project and supervision.
Ideal applicants should be from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania only, under 35 years, and must meet each of the separate university admission requirements for the MSc degree programme, a call published by ICIPE say.
The (EANBiT) is a network of three universities and four research institutes in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, established to develop a critical mass of practitioners in these regions who can develop and utilize Bioinformatics approaches to Biosciences.
The deadline for applications is 24th May 2019.
