The eagerly awaited 2023 African Economic Conference (AEC) has unveiled a spirited call for research and policy papers, placing the spotlight on the theme "The Imperatives for Sustainable Industrial Development in Africa." Scheduled to unfold from November 16 to 18 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, this significant event is a collaborative venture among the African Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Africa, and the United Nations Development Programme.

Renowned for its role in fostering insightful research, expert dialogues, and policy deliberations on vital issues concerning Africa's progress, the AEC series now shifts its focus to sustainable industrialization as a bedrock for the continent's economic growth and resilience.

Distinguished for its policy-driven research approach, the AEC invites submissions that align coherently with the overarching conference theme. The spotlight is on papers that feature robust empirical research, accompanied by innovative solutions to tackle the intricate array of challenges confronting Africa's industrial sector.
