CDT-Africa Calls for MSc in Clinical Trials Fellowships



The Centre for Innovative Drug Development and Therapeutic Trials for Africa (CDT-Africa) and African Centre of Excellence (ACEII) centre based at the University of Addis Ababa is calling applications for the MSc scholarships in Clinical Trials.

The programme is aimed at preparing competent personnel to work in research institutions, academia, pharmaceutical industries, regulatory agencies, contract research organizations, and other study centres.

The primary objective is to have them be able to assist in designing, execution and reporting of clinical trials pertaining to drugs, diagnostics, vaccines, behavioural interventions and medical devices commensurate with good clinical practice, legal, ethical, and regulatory.

An ideal applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in healthcare or life sciences, including pharmacy, public health, nursing, biology, a doctorate degree in medicine or equivalent, doctor of dental medicine, doctor of veterinary medicine, and be the English language proficient.

Applicants are required to submit an admission letter from their institution once they are selected unless they are private applicants, says the call published by the university and the ACEII.

The centre will pay for the registration fee, and students from outside Ethiopia will be given accommodation while other national students are required to have sponsorship from their institutions.

The deadline for applications is 15 May 2019.
